The Stravinsky Project at Strathmore

The Post-Classical Ensemble and its Music Director (and our friend) Angel Gil-Ordoñez's next performance is taking place on April 8th. You won't want to miss it!

Stravinsky's Russian Accent
Friday, April 8 at 8:00pm
The Music Center at Strathmore
Bethesda, MD

Tickets $21-$49: http://russianaccent.eventbrite.com/

On Friday April 8, come rediscover the music that changed everything, shocking audiences of the early twentieth century and continuing to shape the course of the art through the 1960s. In Stravinsky's Russian Accent you will hear the searing Les Noces arranged for four pianos, chorus and percussion and the Russian folk wedding songs that inspired the piece, as well as Stravinsky's blistering Concerto for Piano and Winds and Symphonies for Wind Instruments, which inaugurated his neo-classical period.

Featuring Post-Classical Ensemble and Angel Gil-Ordóñez, conductor, with Alexander Toradze, George Vatchnadze, Genadi Zagor, Vakhtang Kodanashvili and Edisher Savitski, piano, and The Washington Bach Consort Chorus.
